Hi I'm Joe West

I'm from Idaho. I love the great outdoors, kayaking, fishing, running, etc. I'm biligual. I like to learn. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm from the mountain west. Living near the mountains because I have had so many opportunities to be in the outdoors and make good friends. I love whitewater kayaking and when I'm not occupied with church, family, or school I'm probably on the river.... or trying to figure out how to get there. Whether it be waterfalls or waves I love everything about water. I like running, basketball, and in mexico have learned to like soccer. I'm studied civil engineering and am currently serving a full time mission in southern Mexico. Preaching the gospel has been the greatest blessing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I suppose I'm mormon for the same reason as many others, I read the Book of Mormon, pondered about it, and asked God if it was right. I know that God answers prayers and being a mormon has made all the difference in my life. Living the commandments has brought me great joy in life and helped me to have peace in spite of all the problems of our days. I love Jesus Christ and try to be like him. One of my greatest desires is to form a family and raise happy children in the gospel of Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm a big fan of personal study. I've learned that daily study in the scriptures can bring great strength into my life and help me to overcome opposition. I try to find opportunities to serve others and make them happy. I've never been happier than when I'm serving others. I like to teach and feel the guidance of the Holy Ghost as I teach. Seeing the light in others eyes when they come to understand a gospel principle or when they learn something new on the river is always satisfying. I love to share what I know.
