Hi I'm Kevin Kartchner

I am from Utah, USA. I'm a Professional Extreme Unicyclist. I'm serving a mission in Merida, Mexico. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Merida, Mexico. Before my mission I competed international as a Professional Extreme Unicyclist. Competing around the world with people of all different faiths and cultures has shown me all the blessings of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love video production and seeing things through a lens. I love sunsets and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because Mormon's are happy. It's true. Mormon's are happy people. I am happy because I know that Jesus Christ suffered for my sorrows and sins so I can recieve joy in this life and in the life to come. We are all children of a loving God who wants us to return and live with him. I know this because I have knelt in prayer and asked. I'm happy because I know God loves me and answers my prayers. You can know this to. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that someone who knows little or nothing about Jesus Christ can come to know Him by reading it. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those I come in contact with. I travel alot and people always recognize a difference in me becuase of my standards. I love going to church on sundays and seeing friendly faces and feeling the spirit of the Lord. I am currently serving a mission in Mexico, Merida for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so I teach the gospel everyday!

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Kevin Kartchner
Our bodies are gifts directly from our loving Heavenly Father. We are children of God and our body is a temple where our spirit resides. Just like you wouldn´t want someone to come into your house and start drawing pictures on your walls or throwing furniture around, God doesn´t want you to harm your body. We are councled to refrain from putting harmful substances in our body and keep our bodys clean of tattoos. Our body is a temple and we don´t want others to look at it in any other way but as such. That´s why its so important to dress modestly in order to respect the body God gave to us. I know that by treating our body as temple our Heavenly Father will bless us and we will find joy in this life and peace in the life to come. Only happiness comes from obeying the commandments of God. Show more Show less
