Hi I'm Guy

I am a HIgh School English teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I earned my teaching credential and begun teaching late in life. I have recently earned my Master's in Education and love teaching. I play tennis and scuba dive as often as I can. I play the cello, and am now teaching myself how to play the piano. (That is a tough one, but the daily exercise of practice is key) However, I am a procrastinator. I have been married to my lovely wife for 8 years now and life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the true Gospel. Since joining the church, my life has been blessed in so many ways. I was fearful of the commitment to attend church and other responsibilities, but have found comfort and strength that is beyond mortal comprehension. My life has been blessed in my work life, my family life and in my spiritual life.

How I live my faith

I grew up in my parents Christian church, but it was never my own. I have always had a belief, but never knew my full potential until now. I began attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because my wife was a member, but she wasn't going for a long time. She started going again, and asked me to attend with her. I have been a member for just over one year, and I still feel like I know very little. But I have a belief and testimony of the truth of the church and the Gospel. I have made many friends in the Church, and enjoy reading and teaching the Gospel with them and with others. I have also just begun to work with the Boy Scout troop at our church. This is especially exciting because I was an Eagle Scout myself. My faith and beliefs allow me to not only live my life according to the Gospel, but to share my testimony and experiences with those around me. It is my service to my brothers and sisters in this life that fulfills me and sustains me.
