Hi I'm Karsten

I'm a college student, a musician, I'm a crossfit enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time student studying biochemistry. I like going on hikes, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. I play the drums and the piano and really enjoy music of all forms. And I love crossfit.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon for the first time as a young man. After reading it I wanted to know if what I read was true or not... So I did what made sense to me. I asked the one person who would know. I asked God in sincere prayer if what i had read was true. I felt a deep sensation of peace, a truly overwhelming feeling of joy, and an unmistakeable confirmation that what i was reading was true. If God does exist, surely he can answer our prayers. Ask with Faith and he will answer you. He has answered me and he can answer you. I know God exists, I know he loves us, and I know he is trying to show us the way to happiness.

How I live my faith

In the past I spent two years in Guatemala as a full-time missionary. I did everything from re-building burned down homes, digging wells, disaster and famine relief, to bringing food to a hungry family or simply sharing a message of hope about Jesus Christ. On a regular monthly basis I visit individuals from church, share an uplifting message with them and see if there is anything that they need. I try to find ways to serve my community, and support those who stand in need. Anyone and everyone can find joy in serving others by forgetting about themselves, their stresses, their worries and focus on the happiness of those around them.
