Hi I'm Emily

My favorite color is yellow, I like to meet new people, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Washington and I am surrounded by two loving parents and one younger sister. I am currently a sophomore studying Communication Disorders with the hopes of becoming a speech and language pathologist. I converted to the church on August 23, 2012. I did not grow up religiously but have come to have a great love for the savior Jesus Christ and his gospel. I am currently the only member of my family who is a member of the church. My conversion started when I was stopped on the street by sisters who invited me to learn more about the gospel and the love that Heavenly Father has for me and has grown greatly since that day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was exploring my college town one day when I was stopped by sister missionaries. They invited me to learn more about the gospel and I said yes. While taking lessons I agreed to be baptized. After this, my dad calls me and informs me that he, or anyone else in my family would not be allowed to come to my wedding. This broke my heart, I loved the message that the sisters were sharing but I also loved my family and could not stray away from them. Several months passed by and my good friend who was on his mission wrote his sister and told her to invite me to FHE, she did and I went. I had a great time and really missed the gospel. I decided to retake lessons with the Elders from my hometown. I was baptized on August 23, 2012. I stopped looking at joining the church as straying away from my family and began to look at it as if I were helping them. I have a strong testimony of this gospel and completely love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending to as many activities as possible! I love being involved in the church and going to FHE and taking institute classes. I love this church and want to be a part of it as much as possible.
