Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I am a dentist in Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father of four, a dentist, and a small business owner. I am a huge fame of The Ohio State University, which is where I graduated dental school. I love to spend my free time with my wife and children. My practice/business takes up a large portion of my time and I truly love what I do. I constantly find myself trying to find an appropriate balance between church, work and family. All three of which, define who I really am.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church allowed me to rely on the faith and testimony of my parents in regards to the teaching of the church. They are the reason I am who I am today. Their testimony and examples to me on how a member of this church should act were to base of my testimony until the age of 18. However, there comes a point in everyones life when you have to find out for yourself if what you were taught is true. The foundation of this church is based on the Book of Mormon. I knew that if the Book of Mormon was true, that meant that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. If Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, then the revelations and teaching that serve as the foundation of our church organization were set up just as Christ wanted it. If Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, then the Priesthood that he received would exist in this church alone. If that Priesthood existed only in this church, then only in this church would we have true prophets who receive revelation for my family and I. I prayed at the age of 18 and received my answer that the Book of Mormon is true. I knew, as I know now, that it is a book that was written for us and it contains the truth. I also know that Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer! He died for me and made it possible to return and live like him after I die. His Father, our Father in Heaven, sent him here to earth to serve us, and I know that the more I serve people in my life, the more I become like him. I know that Christ's church has be re-established on the earth, and that Joseph Smith was the man called by God to preform that sacred work. I know that the church is lead by a prophet of God in Thomas S. Monson and that he receives revelation from God to help us become more like our Savior. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true!

How I live my faith

I am currently in a position at church where my role is to assist the Bishop of our ward. I love what I do at church, partly because I love the bishop so much. But I also love getting to know the other members of our ward. I have a the great blessing of being able to help and serve the other members of our ward, and I have found that through such service my daily struggles seem to get smaller.
