Hi I'm Jamieson

I grew up in Reno Nevada. I'm a missionary in the England London South Mission. I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a full time mission in Southern England. I play the cello, love soccer (football here), just started playing rugby, and my favourite sport is lacrosse . I love the outdoors! I go hiking, camping, rock climbing, mountain biking, skydiving, kayaking, surfing, bungie jumping, wakeboarding, jetskiing, and boating all with my friends and family. I love spending time with the people around me and have been blessed to meet hundreds of people from different backgrounds and ethnicities as I've served in the Addlestone, Reading, Oxford, and Greater London areas on my mission. I have an amazing family that hasn't stopped growing since I left and I feel blessed by them every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon. I was raised by a single mother who taught me to love and cherish the gospel. She really instilled in me that love for The Spirit that I have now. I didn't really notice before middle school but friends would ask me why I was always happy even though my background was full of trials and hardships. It took me by surprise because I had never seen it that way. I knew I had plenty of things to be happy about and thankful for. The bad stuff just didn't matter. After awhile I began to see the connections to why I was so happy while others weren't. I had a testimony of the Gospel. I knew I was loved by my Father in Heaven and was protected and guided by The Spirit. The Lord had always provided for me by giving me a loving family that cared and supported me. I know I have every reason to be happy. I have seen people without the Gospel and I have seen people with it and I know that it is the right choice. So I would say I'm Mormon because it gives me the greatest happiness I could ever want. I have felt the blessings and know it's true so I continue to do my best to be like Heavenly Father because I know it's the right thing for me to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving and loving others. I am very active in all scouting events and other service activities. Whenever I can, I like doing activities with the youth to get to know them and help them in whatever ways I can. I always do my best to be a good example to everyone around me by living the commandments I have been taught throughout my life. I go to a ward that is composed of sigle, college students so we spend a lot of time doing service in the area. We visit the children in hospitals, help the elderly whenever they need it and be there for the other college students who are not members of our faith.
