Hi I'm Clayton Allred

I was a math major at the University of Oklahoma and am currently a full time missionary in Michigan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle of three boys. I live away from home to go to school. I love to read and do math. I make art using geometry, paper and a sharp knife. I like listening to classical music or podcasts and taking long walks around campus. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in the Lansing Michigan area.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the only true church on the earth. I love my savior Jesus Christ because he makes it possible to not only live a life of joy on earth but allows me eternal joy. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that he truly saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. I know that it was through Their direction that he restored Their church upon the earth. I know that modern prophets who communicate personally with the Savior direct His work upon the earth. I have been blessed to be born in a family setting where my spirit has room to grow and love and become like Christ, and where my testimony has been nurtured through repeated experiences and constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example Christ set for us when he walked the Earth, I do my best to love everyone I meet, I love providing service for those around me. I try to help others feel God's love for them through how I treat them. To me, my faith is all about love, and I try to share my love for God and His love for all of us every day.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Clayton Allred
Our missionaries proselyte for two important reasons: they love and want to obey their Savior Jesus Christ who taught his disciples to go and teach, the second is that they love the people they are sent to teach and know that giving them the opportunity to come unto Christ is the best possible thing that they can do for them. Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Clayton Allred
As the name suggests, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was established by Jesus Christ. The name also tells us that it is a church in the Latter-day, because Jesus Christ had finished his earthly ministry by this time, Joseph Smith was chosen to restore the church to the earth. It is not Joseph's church, he merely served as the earthly leader in that great process of restoration. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Clayton Allred
Of course not, we are to love our neighbors as our selves, as Christ taught in the parable of the good Samaritan, our neighbors are not only the people who believe as we do, but everyone who we come in contact with. Show more Show less
