Hi I'm Becky

I'm an Idaho girl. I live and work here. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of 5, grandmother of 10. I have a great husband, who loves and supports me. I love to read, play volleyball and disc golf, sew for my kids and grandkids, exercise, and music is and has always been a big part of my life. I work at a library and hope to go to college and get a degree in the near future. I love to help others, and I'm grateful for the opportunities in my church and community to do so.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, and have lived in an active Mormon family my whole life. Because it has been a great blessing to me, it was important to raise my family to have strong testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the happiness it can bring. I have made my share of mistakes, and because of the atonement of Jesus Christ for me and everyone upon the earth, it made it possible to be able to overcome and repent of those mistakes. It makes it possible for me to move on and become a better person. I have full faith in the power of prayer to our Heavenly Father and that it works. There have been countless times when I needed His help or felt alone, and I would receive answers to my prayers or felt comforted, and KNEW that he was aware of me and loved me. The Book of Mormon has been a lifeline to me throughout my life. It truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. I can always open it and find a scripture or phrase that I need to help me at that time, and I love studying it and learning more. I also love the Bible and it's rich stories of faith and healing examples of Jesus Christ and his parables. Heavenly Father has provided these to us to help us during the dark days of our lives. I am also thankful for the restoration of Jesus Christ's gospel upon the earth today. It restored a living prophet, priesthood power to the earth, scriptures to help and guide us, and given us a purpose for living Christlike lives. My testimony of this is one of the most important things in my life.

How I live my faith

I am the president of the Primary in my ward. That is the organization for teaching children in our church. It is a great place to serve and teach. The children are so sweet and unique. I get to teach them about Jesus Christ, about a living prophet today, how making good choices will help them feel good about themselves, that kindness to others is so needed and necessary to help each other and our world. I also get to visit with ladies in my church each month to make sure they are doing fine and see if they need any help. It feels good to love and care for others. At my work in the library, I try to use those same principles of kindness and helping others, and trying to be a good person.
