Hi I'm Victor Medina

I'm a teenager from southern Utah. I absolutely love to run and be with my family.

About Me

I am an average kid who loves to be with my family. My brother and I like to hang out and I love to run. My friends a while ago got me into music. I never would have thought how much I would love it! Now I have learned to appreciate so many other things in life. I have recently received a mission to El Salvador, San Salvador east mission. I am now currently at the Mexico City MTC and I love it here! My district is the best ever and I can't wait to get out to El Salvador.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought to church as a kid, but after I saw a few fellow hispanic kids in my ward get babtized. My faith grew and has helped me convert more since then. For me the most important thing in the whole world is an eternal family. I want more than anything to be able to have a family forever of my own.

How I live my faith

I try to help others. I have tried a lot harder lately to be nicer to people. From that, I now have more tolerance than ever. My baby brother has gotten me to do so much better as well. In my last ward, I was the president in the deacons and teachers quorum. In the priests quorum I was the secretary. I moved recently now I just try to do whatever I can in order to help those in the quorum and in my new ward.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Victor Medina
Absolutely families can be together forever! Why would we put such a huge emphasis on families if they never were going to be together forever? I can personally attest to the truth of that. My father is a convert to this church and from doing so my family and I have all been sealed in the holy temple according to the restored power of the priesthood. I know that I can always be with my family when I die. Or when they die. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Victor Medina
There is no restriction on race and color. I mean look at me! I'm as brown as it gets. And I'm on a mission and an elder. As long as you're worthy and hold your sacred promises with God, you'll be just fine. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Victor Medina
In a nutshell, it is about a whole lot of other prophets in the Americas. If that's hard to believe, then think of it like this. There is a father with two children on opposite sides of the earth. He needs to get the same message to them both. Now think logistically here, a father doesn't just pick favorites and tell one and hopes the other will get the message before it's too late right? That's essentially what the Book of Mormon is. A message for the children of God on the other side of the world. Show more Show less
