Hi I'm Zac

I Grew up in Provo. I like sports and hanging out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play basketball, snowboard, raquetball, swim, pretty much any sport. I've seen all but the last season of Seinfeld (I'm saving that for a rainy day). I enjoy books especially dystopian literature like Farenheit 451, 1984, etc. In highschool I was part of the international Baccalaureate program. I graduated and went to BYU last year. Since then I've gotten ready to go on my mission to Taiwan, Taipei.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born in the Church but I wouldn't be a Mormon if it wasn't true. I've had many friends fall away from the Church as I've gotten older. I think the main thing that my testimony is built on is the feeling I get when I share the gospel or study it. I don't get that feeling when I've read anti-Mormon doctrine or when I've studied and talked about Atheism and other theologies. My teacher told me to listen to my feelings when I was in about tenth grade and I took him seriously. I found some Anti-Mormon stuff and read it. It was hateful and I really did not feel good at all after reading it. In comparison whenever I went to church I felt peaceful and full of warmth. I can testify that there is good and bad in this world and that the LDS church is good. It's the best. I can also testify that you cannot use logic for everything. There are many things that I still don't understand about the Church even after all the study I've done, but that doesn't mean that I don't know it's the true Church. I do. And so can you if you'll listen to your feelings, pray and study.

How I live my faith

I visited with a family that is in my ward with an older member every month for about two years. We taught them a lesson and mostly just visited. They couldn't have children for some reason and were, I think, very lonely because of that. I still try to be friendly to them when I see them they are very nice people. I have done tons of service activities and helped many times with our church at the local food bank.
