Hi I'm Dan Saunders

I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon. And I like other stuff. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church in the Richmond Virginia Mission. Right now I am in Charlottesville. And it's awesome! I love having this opportunity. Serving the Lord for 2 years, sharing what you know to be true, and helping others in any and every way... Its fun! I love it! I also like to do many other things. I love spending time in the great outdoors. I love filming/making movies and especially watching movies. I love the Lord of the Rings. I love Snickers. I love the Au Jus sauce that is often served with French Dip sandwiches. I love playing the piano and all music in general. I also like history, ancient history, including myths and legends. And I think I like to sit back and relax and enjoy life. So yup, that's just about it.

Why I am a Mormon

So I was born LDS but I decided on my own that the church is true, that God and Christ are there and love me, and that the most important thing I need to do here on earth is to learn and do whatever God has in store for me. I have prayed to know, and have received the answer that this restored gospel message is true. And so I live it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Virginia. I LOVE the gospel! It effects my life in every possible aspect. For me, there is no division between my religious beliefs and the "regular part" of life. The gospel effects every little tiny decision I make. I live the Gospel.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Dan Saunders
We believe in the doctrine of grace. Grace means the same thing as the Atonement. Through grace we are redeemed by our Savior Jesus Christ. This does not, however, remove our obligation to repent for our sins continually and exercise our faith in the Lord at all times. Grace, performed for us by Jesus Christ, allows us to be able to return to our Heavenly Father's presence by covering for all our imperfections that we CANNOT repent of on our own. We must still do our best, to repent of sins that we are accountable for. Show more Show less
