Hi I'm Esther

I was baptized in the ocean while living in Bermuda. Our family has 3 businesses and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm Esther. Growing up I didn't like my name very much, but as I studied the scriptures and the faithful women mentioned in them, I realized that I had a name to live up to! I love my name now. I am a wife, mother, teacher and seeker of adventures. For fun, I raise flemish giant rabbits (they're awesome); spend time with extended family; and learn all I can. I have also been lovingly called a geek by my husband because I love technology--especially creating new forms and scrapbooking. I love to spend time "searching for buried treasure" --my ancestors! I love to put families together and read of their joys and sorrows. We have a lot in common with them. Blended families, sickness, healings, end of chapters and new beginnings. The road before me has been made easier because of them.

Why I am a Mormon

When my father was in the military, our family lived in Bermuda. I love Bermuda! I had a wonderful teacher that taught me how serving others was also serving God. She gave me my first Bible and I still have it. I was baptized in the ocean at Whale Bay Beach. I love the gospel and the joy it gives me every day. I don't have to be miserable. I am happy! I don't have to be hopeless. I am full of hope! I know that we all have a divine purpose for our lives and I am enjoying the journey.

How I live my faith

Currently I have been blessed to serve the youth of our church. I get to hang out with them, teach them, learn with them and help prepare them for their journey through school, marriage, motherhood and just life in general. We camp, study, cook, sew, create things for home and play! Good times. I have served the youth for most of my life and love to see them become amazing adults. It's a wonderful blessing in my life. My family has a large childcare center. It's still going strong after 30 years. My mother and sister oversee it now. I started a new adventure working at an elementary school with my daughter and love it.
