Hi I'm Evan

I was born in Cali and raised in Oregon. I'm a 21 year-old sport loving brother from another mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports. I played Football, and Wrestled. I also did Track and Field and always loved playing Basketball with friends and going bowling with my Dad. I also like to play video games and read books. I love going to Mexico and being able to visit my Hispanic side of my family. Spanish is such a great languange to learn and speak! Right now, I am a missionary serving in the Japan Tokyo Mission and it's the best thing I can be doing right now in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a still a Mormon because I've been to take everything I've learned from a kid age to now, and have felt the greatness of Jesus Christ. I've felt the Love of God in my life and the power of the Atonement in my life. That has been a huge blessing for me. It's one of the greatest feelings in the world. I've also been able to read the Book of Mormon. I've been able to test the promise that the Book of Mormon boldly puts out. If we pray to God with a sincere heart, or wanting to know, God will let us know through the Holy Ghost. And it's been because I've continued at it and lived it that I can say, I know that this Church is true and that Joseph Smith restored the Church. And my favorite part is that anyone can learn this.

How I live my faith

I've been going to Church all my life. Participated in Primary (A place where kids 4-12 get to have fun and learn the Gospel in the most basic way) and that was great. Then, as I became a young man, I've been able to be the Leader of Kids my age. When I turned 18, I was able to help the youth. Way fun. Youth are the best. Right now, I am serving as a missionary and I get to do that for 2 years. Only 2 years. But it's great!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Nope. They are not. Everyone has the choice of whether or not they go on a mission or not. That's the beauty of service. Show more Show less
