Hi I'm Stephanie

I love life and I love being Mormon.

About Me

Hello there! I am Stephanie. I am from California, but I just can't stay away from the ice and snow in Idaho. You may have already guessed, I am a student. BYU Idaho's the name and learning's the game. I absolutely love it there. I really like any activity done outside or with other people, and if you put the two together...well I can honestly say, "I'm lovin' it!" Like I said before, I like to do a lot of things, but I completely love swimming, soccer, running and dance! I am currently serving as a Missionary in South Carolina and I'm so grateful for the call to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I know that God loves me and you. He loves us so much that He sent his son, Jesus Christ to the earth to provide a way to return back to Him. On the earth Christ gave a higher law in which we should live and set the example of which we should follow. The true church that Christ established has been restored and I am a part of it! I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he did restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth with the proper authority given from God! Christ's final mission was to perform an atonement. He has suffered not only the world's, but my pains and afflictions and sins so that I have an opportunity to repent and be clean. This life is not an easy one. I have had many trials that have caused me great sorrow and pain; however, I know that Christ knows those pains and understands what we are feeling. I know that Heavenly Father listens to us and provides comfort as we sincerely pray to Him with real intent. I have faith that trials in this life make us stronger people and help us become something. I love the Lord and living His gospel! This is where I find my happiness, this is where I find joy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting upon it. I have come to realize that testimony, acting on faith, can be compared to a fire. Starting a fire takes patience. Surroundings, wood, wind, timing, all these things take a part in the ignition period. Just as a testimony, once lit and in full fuel, it cannot be left alone. Without constant care, adjusting and perfecting, the fire will eventually die. I continue to act on my faith by studying the scriptures, seeking guidance and comfort in prayer, and by trying to be my best self everyday. I participate in church by fulfilling my calling(volunteer position) responsibilities. I have also found that I can be an active part in my community by showing kindness to others and serving where I am needed. We are all living this life together, so why not enjoy each others company?
