Hi I'm Kimberly Pellegrini

I'm a dedicated student, geek, soon-to-be bride, and lover of Mexican food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If you ask me what my hobby is, I'll probably say school. I am an avid student. I'm studying Family Studies with a minor in Women's Studies. I love to learn, read, and ask questions. I hope to use my education to help women who have been abused find aid, hope, and recapture joy. I served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served in the Washington Everett Mission, Spanish speaking! The Gospel is the absolute best part of my life and I loved sharing that joy with everyone I met. I love to help people discover the light of Christ that will bring abundant life (see John 10:10). I spent a summer volunteering with orphans in Ukraine. Service is a huge part of my life and I believe that I need to leave this world better than I found it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but I had to personally begin my own conversion process. I remember being twelve years old and feeling so alone and heartbroken. I had always been taught that I could read my scriptures to find comfort. That is the first time I really remember reading the scriptures because I wanted to find God instead of out of duty. I found a scripture in the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 1: 15: "But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love." I felt the Holy Ghost wrapping me up in warmth and seeming to say "Your Father loves you, Kimberly. He always will." Ever since then, I have been trying to align my life with Heavenly Father's plan for me. The Gospel is the absolute best part of my life. What it comes down to is that I could not be me without the Savior. I love him so much, and I don't ever want to let Him down. My largest goal in life is to return to my Heavenly Father with my head held high, knowing I did all I could to spread His love.

How I live my faith

The way I think I live my faith the most is through the little things. Daily prayer, scripture study, and service keep my faith alive and active. I am really passionate about writing my journal every day. I've written an entry almost every day for five years. Writing in my journal helps me to see the tender mercies and the hand of Heavenly Father in my everyday life.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Kimberly Pellegrini
We believe that Heavenly Father communicates to His children through prophets, just like He did in ancient times. Right now, the prophet and president of the church is Thomas S. Monson. In addition, President Monson has two counselors. The three of them-- President Monson, Henry B. Eyring, and Dieter F. Uchtdorf, make up the First Presidency of the church. There are 12 other men who are also the leaders of the church, called the Quorum of the Twelve. The First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve are all prophets and seers that speak to us from Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
