Hi I'm Sandi

I am the proud mother of four amazing kids. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of four. I have an associates degree and I am currently working toward my bachelor's degree. I enjoy scrapbooking and reading. I currently live in the Midwest but was born and raised in Idaho and I miss the mountains! By far my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I went to a lot of churches when I was young. I visited the Baptist, Nazarene, Lutheran, and Catholic churches. I was not raised going to church but I did believe that God knew me and love me and I wanted to know more about Him. I was introduced to the missionaries when I was 16 years old. I listened to their lessons, I read the Book of Mormon, and I asked A LOT of questions. I would read some more and ask more questions and they were patient with me as I worked to gain my own testimony of the truth. I decided to do as it says in Moroni 10:4-5 and ask God myself if the things I was being taught were true. I had an overwhelming witness that it was true and committed to baptism and a life of following and knowing God more than I previously had. It isn't always easy to do what you know is right or live what you believe but I do know that it is worth it because I know without a doubt that God lives, that the Book of Mormon is true, that we have a prophet on the earth to guide and lead us in the last days because God will not forsake us, and that families can be together forever. I am so thankful for my testimony and my personal witness of the truth. I am a Mormon! I know it, I live it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day in the way I treat others. Every day I make the choice to not judge others and to recognize that everyone is a child of God and everyone has their own personal struggles. I also live my faith by being forgiving. I think it is very easy in life to be hurt by others and to take that hurt and let it destroy you. My favorite calling in the church has been when I taught early morning seminary to the youth of the church. We studied the New Testament, Old Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine & Covenants. Learning and understanding the scriptures has helped me in my life in so many ways. I also know that as I follow the Lord and keep His commandments that my life is blessed so I try to do those things each and every day.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Sandi
Absolutely a husband and wife can be together forever!! I know this to be true with all of my heart. I was sealed to my husband for time in all eternity in the Logan, Utah temple and he passed away after 8 years of marriage - leaving me behind with two little boys to raise. I know that our treasured relationships do not end here and that we will be with our family again - I know it! I believe that the same relationships we have here will exist with us in eternity - but better. This fact gives me such comfort and joy - the Atonement of Jesus Christ is an incredible gift to us all. It is through that Atonement that we know that we God lives, Jesus Christ lives, and we can and will exist through all eternity. Show more Show less
