Hi I'm Jimbo

I 'm a native Texan. I 'm a convert and have been a member for 28 years. I like farming . I 'm a Mormon and proud of it.

About Me

I'm a native Texan. I live in a small town in east Texas. I like hunting, fishing and especially farming. I 'm very happily married with a very beautiful and loving wife. I'm a father of two daughters and one stepdaughter. I have 8 grandkids.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was baptized August 3, 1984 in Woodville, Texas. When the missionaries were teaching me about the Gospel they asked me to read parts of the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I not only read the parts they suggested but I read the whole book. I needed to know for myself in the Book of Mormon was true. The night I completed the book I got on my knees and asked Heavenly Father if the book was true. The Holy Ghost witnessed unto me that the book was true. I had a warm feeling in my chest and a very peaceful feeling and this feeling lasted some twenty minutes. At that time I knew the answer to two questions. The first was that the Book of Mormon was the true word of God and if the book was true then Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. If you will read the Book of Mormon and pray with real intent asking our Heavenly Father if these things are true the Holy Ghost will manifest to you as He did for me that this, the Book of Mormon, is a true word of God.

How I live my faith

I have a deep faith in Jesus Christ and I try my best each day of my life to live his teachings. Myself and one other member of the church are responsible for several families in the church. We would look after the welfare of these families on a daily and monthly basis. Praying and reading scriptures gives me strength to keep my faith strong.
