Hi I'm Julia Wright

I am a college student, a musician, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am what, by some definitions, you could call a band geek. I am also a sister, a friend, a writer, and a college student. I have set aside studying, working, and playing french horn in the marching band at Brigham Young University to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Sao Paulo area of Brazil. I have never been more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to rectify the things that I have been taught of Jesus Christ and his restored gospel. Through reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, pondering what I believe, and asking my Heavenly Father in prayer, I can say that I know that this Church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that we have a living prophet today. I know that Christ's Atonement is real. I know that this Gospel and church has brought me enormous peace and purpose that I cannot deny. This is my testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my life: my actions, my words, and my thoughts. I do my best to be an example of Christ, and share his love for all of us in my own love for others. I live my faith through my example, and through the way that I hold myself accountable as a precious daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. Currently, I am living my faith by serving a mission in the Sao Paulo South area of Brazil. The decision to put school, work, family and friends on hold was not an easy one, but I am excited to teach and serve the people of Brazil for the next 18 months. I know that I have been called by a prophet of God to do this and that I do it because our Heavenly Father loves all of us without measure. By making this small sacrifice, I will in the smallest part be able to show my gratitude for Christ and his sacrifice which was done for all of us out of the purest love that ever was.
