Hi I'm Sean Anderson

I'm a dancer, I'm a hobby Yo-yoer, I'm a triathlete, I'm an engineer, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student at Utah State University, I've been studying Mechanical Engineering with and emphasis in Aerospace studies. In the past few years, my hobbies have included music for much of my life. I have been playing the trombone in several different bands for the last 8 years, including Marching, Pep Band, Symphonic, Ochestral, and esspecially Jazz. Because of my love of Jazz music, I became acquainted with Lindy Hop, and have danced competitively with Utah States team, Swingcopation. In addition to my love for music, I also love racing. Since i have been little, I have been swimming. I was on a swim team the entire time I lived in texas, and when I moved to Idaho I tried out water polo. I've also competed in several Triathalons, 5k's, a half and a whole marathon. I love being able to just go, and not stop, it really allows me to think and clear my mind and focus on what matters in my life. I love being active, and doing things outside such as sports like Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, and Football. While I haven't been on an official team for any of these, I have always loved playing with others, especially Ultimate Frisbee. Other things about me are that I play with the Yo-yo as a side hobby, I am an eagle scout, and I am very good with computers, including IT work.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised into the Church, but the reason why I am a Mormon is not based on what my parents have taught me, but what i have come to know for myself, including praying for a knowledge of the truth of what is taught, and reading in the scriptures to know of gods plan for me. After questioning the truth one time, I knelt and preyed, and have never felt the spirit comfort me more then I have when I asked that day. I have complete faith in my savior and his plan for me, and I can't wait for the time to come when I see him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting it be the first priority in my life. While I have many other things that I do in life, when I take the time in my day to read my scriptures and to pray, my Heavenly Father then blesses me with strength and wisdom I need to better myself. Through my hobbies and talents, I allow the gospel to show my love of life. By getting to know my savior and redeemer, he helps me to learn who I am, and what he wants me to do in life. By keeping the commandments that he has given to us, I am blessed with a clean mind and a clean body. I also have devoted the next two years of my life solely to him, and to serve as a missionary in Brazil, where I hope to share the love and life of our savior Jesus Christ to those who are ready to recieve it.
