Hi I'm Gideon

I was born in Utah, and raised in Oregon. I joined the Marine Corps out of high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Gideon. I'm 21 years old and I am a fun guy to be around. I get along great with everyone and I love to meet new people and making new friends. After high school I joined the Marine Corps Reserve and it has been an amazing trial of my faith in Christ. Going through boot camp was one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and had it not have been through my strong faith in Christ in helping me endure through those tough times at boot camp I would not be the same person I am today. Some of my hobbies include, snowboarding, skiing, playing pool, motorcycling, and adventuring the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was born and raised up in the church. But doesn't mean there never was a time where I didn't have to gain my own testimony of my father in Heaven and His Son. There have been times in my life where I was given the choice to be righteous or to rebel and follow my peers in their bad decisions. My choices were to obey the commandments of God and to follow the example of my parents and fellow leaders in the church. However, I am not perfect and there are a lot of things that I could improve on. But thankfully because of the Atonement of Christ we all have the wonderful blessing to be able to recover from past mistakes that have caused us pain in our lives. I know that if we have faith in Christ and by living his example we can put our lives in better harmony with the plan our father in heaven has for us. As a result, we will have a better life full of love and true happiness.

How I live my faith

In my home ward I was called to be a ward missionary. I would frequently visit the inactive members and go on lessons with the full time missionaries in our ward. Through my calling I have had the opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. My faith in Christ has been a huge part of my life. I constantly strive to find opportunities to better myself so I will be able to preach the gospel to those who do not have such faith in their lives. Since the true gospel has brought such blessings and happiness to my life I constantly look for opportunities to share it with people who know little to nothing about it. And should they choose to accept it and repent they will see similar blessings transpire in their lives.
