Hi I'm Whitman

I am a skiing fanatic. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I am a huge lover over anything skiing! I love to water ski, freestyle ski, park ski, downhill ski, and cross country ski. My love for skiing has spurred from my families love of being outdoors and being always active. In my downtime, I go to the University of Utah! Right now, I am currently serving a mission in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission which is the best mission on earth. Prior to the mission, I worked on a trading floor at Zions Bank for two years and I loved my job. I plan on returning back to it when I get home. At the end of the day, I love to spend my time volunteering or with my parents traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

This is the truth. This is the way. The truth and the life. Christ had a church and he has restored it. We don’t say that in self-aggrandizement and we don’t say that in diminution or despair of anybody who is not a member of the church. With all the truth that does exist in all the places of the world, we say come and get more! Bring all the good things you got and let us, as referred to in the scriptures “the fullness” – we want to fill that cup right up! This is the true and living church of the true and living God. I’ve had hands placed on my head and a commission given to preach the gospel to every nation, kindred tongue, and people; teaching and baptizing in His name and bringing them to truth – to church – to covenants – to gospel living – to happiness -- to hope – to the future. That is our mission. We say it humbly, but we don’t hesitate to say it. We don’t say it with bravado – but we do say it with boldness. We simply declare that young Joseph Smith saw the father and the son and everything has been different since that day. The power of that priesthood restored has changed our lives forever – and to the extent we can make it available – we want to change everybody else’s for the happiest, highest, holiest, and most wonderful life available in time and in eternity. That hope we’ve spoken of, that faith we’ve spoken of, the charity we’ve spoken of – all the good things that come from God have all come to us through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I love to live my faith by serving others. As you read around this mormon.org website, serving a mission is the ultimate way to serve other people. Back home, I would participate actively in underprivelaged youth events, serving the homeless, and volunteering at the hospital whenever possible. Serving others is the ultimate pleasure of my life. I have had the privelage to travel the world and assist on a very large level. I've been anywhere from Uganda to New York; Ecuador to Dubai -- and I love it!
