Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Northern Utah. I own a shoe repair and saddle shop.

About Me

Tooling leather, shoe repair, lace crochet, tatting, crossfit, cycling, horses are activities I love. My husband, threes sons and daughter-in-law are most precious, but above all is my faith and love of my saviour Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Mormon faith. I have never had experience with other religions because I know that this is true. How do I know? I have prayed and continue to pray that I will know. The Holy Ghost let's me know by feelings. I have felt an overpowering sense love, to the point that I shake, sweat, and cry. I just feel deep joy! One time that I felt this love was on the way to the hospital after my son's accident. He had a head injury and I was terribly frightened. I was praying and a sense of peace, no matter the outcome, washed over me. I knew that my Heavenly Father was aware of us and that we were loved. I think all people need to have this reassurance in there lives. I don't ever want to be without it. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach classes to girls ages 14 and 15. We study together from the King James version of the Bible as well as other books that we use as scripture. They include: The Book of Mormon, The Doctorine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. We believe in a living prophet and study from his teachings as well. I text my family and close friends a scripture every day. These are from my own study. I also, help the youth with activities that are encouraging, fun, wholesome, productive and enlightening to them. Such as: bike rides, hiking, group games, crafts, cooking, first-aid, singing, finding our ancestors, etc.
