Hi I'm Donna

I am a convert of 1 year from Idaho. I will be serving a mission in Riverside Calif. starting 11/12/12. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a christian all my life. I am single with 5 children and 7 grandchildren. I love the outdoors here in North Idaho...camping and boating on top of my list. I was baptized as a mormon on Nov 4, 2011 which has changed my life. I was one of those Christians who believed that the Mormon's were a cult. My daughter was baptized in May of 2011 and by her example I saw that what the Book of Mormon and the Mormon Church was about was not a cult. God revealed Himself to me in a might way. Because of my decision to be baptized 4 of my 5 children excommunicated with me. As I wait for those relationship's to be restored God has provided a wonderful Ward family that I love very much. Through a gift from God I was allowed to receive my endowments 6 months early so that I would be able to attend my daughters temple sealing. This has made a big impact in my life and I have made the decision to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

This is a hard one to answer because it is so personal. When God reveals Himself to you there is no turning back. My faith and understanding of the Gospel has given me a sure foundation to live on. I am blessed to have been given the truth and to be part of this wonderful Mormon family.

How I live my faith

As I prepare to go on this mission and look back over this past year since I was baptized. There are two truths I have learned over this last year. The first is that the Lord knows me individually and is watching over me. I know because He loves me, everything will be okay, regardless of what I will go through He is there. This knowledge has been a tremendous blessing as I have faced various challenges in my life. The second is that I have been given many blessings and that my life has purpose. I also know that with these blessings comes tremendous responsibility to do all I can to be worthy of that which I have been given.
