Hi I'm Deborah Maloney

I grew up in Ohio, I'm married to my sweetheart for 40 years, raised 4 great kids and love the fact that I am a Mormon

About Me

I love to be creative and do lots of crafts. My favorites are scrap booking, making my own holiday cards with stamps and cross stitch. I love doing crafts with my grand-kids and spending as much time as I can with them. I worked outside of the home for 20 years, but am now retired and loving the freedom to travel and visit family whenever I can. I also enjoy doing my family history and finding out about my ancestors!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 12 years old. At the time, I really wasn't sure what we were doing. We attended church and had some lessons, then my parents and I were baptized. Over the years, I began to study the scriptures and to pray very hard to know the truth. I also went to other churches and learned about them. What I learned was that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the WHOLE truth. The Holy Ghost told me that this IS the true church. Without the church, I cannot imagine where I would be. I think I would have made some serious mistakes in my life if I had not had the moral teachings of the church. The gospel has been my rock and support through all the trials and tribulations that have come along. I love the gospel and what it has done for me. I know that God loves me and I am His daughter. I know, without a shadow of doubt that the Lord blesses me and watches over me and wants me to be happy in this life and in the next.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the principles of the gospel, following the word of wisdom, attending church and showing love to those I come into contact with. I love to read my scriptures and do what I can for others.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Deborah Maloney
Our bodies are the temple of our soul. Begin teaching while they are young to respect themselves and be an example to them yourself! Children learn what they live, so live the way that you want your children to live. Be modest, speak softly, and love yourself. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Deborah Maloney
My favorite saying is "Families can be together forever" because we can be! My husband and I were married in Salt Lake City in the Temple there. Through the years, we have worked very hard on our relationship because we know we will be together for all eternity as husband and wife. We are an eternal family, sealed together for all time and eternity. Show more Show less
