Hi I'm Cameron

I play guitar, I am from Las Vegas, I don't gamble, I don't live in a casino, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am an avid cyclist, I play a ton of guitar, I am a Whovian, and sometimes I might tell a joke... I come from a big family of eight, I am a middle child, I love animals, and my brothers and sisters are my best friends. At times, I have been known to trip over nothing at all, music is a passion of mine, and I enjoy road trips. I am serving my Lord and Redeemer in the New York Utica Mission. That is pretty much me in a nutshell...

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that is what I choose. Living in America and having the opportunity to have religious freedom is something that I feel is taken for granted a lot of the time. I love the principles this religion teaches. I know that as a young boy, Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I know that through the Holy Ghost, Joseph was able to translate the Book of Mormon from the records of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. And I know that God has restored His church to the Earth through the prophet, Joseph Smith, and that he continues to call prophets and apostles to lead and guide His church today. You can call me ignorant, and you can call me crazy, but you could never take away these things which I know to be true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the New York Utica Mission. I have worked with the scouting program and I have served for six months in a church run food bank called the Bishops' Storehouse. On my mission I have had many great experiences. I feel the most growth in my mission has happened between me and Jesus Christ. I have come to know my Redeemer more now than I ever have before. I have come to learn how to rely on His ample presence in all that I do. This has led me to listen to the quiet whisperings of the Holy Spirit of God. I live the best way I know how. I realize now how much I need Him. I try to emulate all that my Savior would do in my life. Scouting has taught me how to help others. It has taught me to know more fully what charity really is. You do for others without the the expectation of anything in return. I was able to serve others and earn the rank of Eagle Scout. This is one of my greatest accomplishments in my entire life. Not achieving that rank, but learning what charity is. This has helped me so much in caring for others; to respect them for who they are and what they can be.
