Hi I'm Brian

I am from Utah. I love taking pictures. I'm serving a Mission...and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have many hobbies... I like working on cars. I have a small photography business. But i love to do just about anything. I have been going to college, with emphasis in the medical career path. I have always loved the outdoors and anything that goes along with that. i would say that I am a quiet person, but love attention sometimes. one of my favorite things is to help people. If a friend or someone needs help I'm there. I am currently serving a mission assigned to the Peru Trujillo Mission. One of my mottoes is LOVE THIS LIFE. Because no matter what happens I know in the end everything will be alright.

Why I am a Mormon

Life has its ups and downs. But one thing is constant... the love of our Heavenly Father. By reading the Book of Mormon along with the Bible, I have come to know of his love for me. And knowing a Prophet that He has called is here leading us and guiding us, gives me the courage to keep my head up in this world. I know God is there, we are his children, and Jesus Christ lives. Knowing this gives me great comfort. My life has not been hard by any means nor has it been easy. It's life and sometime we all need that help. For a long time I had several had difficult decisions to make. Help from my ward, family and friends made these decisions easier. But ultimately help from my Heavenly Father was the turning point. the biggest decision was to return to my mission to finish it. With the world zipping by and looking in every direction. One very important person said to me, " You owe this to Heavenly Father, he has given you so much." little did she know I had prayed that morning for a reason to go back. I Love this gospel. I love God and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Along with church attendance I have had many opportunities to help and provide service to many people in my neighborhood. Whether it be a simple lawn mowing job or a roof repair, my ward knows that often I will be able to help out. I am currently living my faith in the Mission field. We are all Missionaries where ever we are around the whole world. With one simple goal. To help people to come closer to Christ. By teaching the Gospel and living it daily helps me to become more like Him. But I know that everyone is a Missionary, not just those with a name tag. By striving to be like Christ each day, the example we set should show everyone around us that we are trying to be like him. My ultimate goal in this life is to have a family. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will help me to have one not only here, but forever. I know that by living the Gospel my family will be happy and be strong. Without having a family,(in my view and my future life) I believe I would have nothing. For that is the reason we are here to receive a body and thus a family.Because the family is central to the Gospel.

Who are the Mormons?

Brian
A Mormon is really a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We look the same as anyone else... and have normal life's also. We know Christ lives and know he is our Savior. We love him and know that he loves everyone on the whole world. This is because we know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Brian
Anyone one can sit and tell you that the LDS faith is true. But without the sincere want to know, along with prayer, these things will just be words. But through prayer and having a real desire all thinks will be made known as it says in James 1:5-6 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. If we ask we shall know. and like Jesus taught, knock and it shall be opened unto you. All we have to do is ask. Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Brian
The people that are claiming the church is a cult, do not fully understand the church and its teachings. the sacredness and also simplicity of our teachings can be found in the scriptures. Some say that we are keeping our worship "secret", but in reality its being kept "sacred". It is open to all to know, and understand. As long as that person is willing to make covenants, or promises, to the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
