Hi I'm Anna

I am the third of five sisters, study aviation, spent a year living in Sweden, and I'm serving a mission in NY, NY from 2015-2017!

About Me

Anna. Aviation major. Bilingual-Swedish speaker. Hard core nerd, hard core traveler. I'm a sister to four and daughter to two. I was raised in a town of about 150, but love to visit booming, high paced cities. I especially enjoyed my time in Stockholm. The dream is to make it big either flying for Delta or sewing costumes for Broadway; either will suffice. Name your sci-fi- I can relate! As for now I am a student at Utah State University. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Best Buddies, and hope that I can someday show how much I appreciate all that the wonderful people in these programs have done to change me as a person!

Why I am a Mormon

Have ever been awake for a beautiful Saturday morning sunrise, or felt a warm rain, even as the sun was shining, or literally jumped for joy because you got the best news and you just know, in these moments, that everything is going to work out, and you think that you wouldn't mind feeling like this forever. If so, you have some idea of what it feels like for me to believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day saints is God's true church on the Earth! One of the greatest challenges for me has always been to have hope for the future. I fear for what's to come for myself and my family. Sometimes I wonder if the trials will ever go away, but when I remember Christ's atonement NOT ONLY for our sins but also for our pains and sorrows, I know that, some day, we can live with Him again! And in that day, all of our pains and sorrows will be taken away! When I remember that, the life that I'm living now seems bright. This church gives me hope! It gives me the freedom to STOP worrying about the world, and just be happy because I KNOW that God loves us, is here for us, and made man that they might have joy!

How I live my faith

I have received the most humbling call to serve as a missionary of the Lord in New York, NY speaking Mandarin Chinese. My decision to accept this call has come as a result of the many blessings the Lord has given me. I have been blessed beyond belief with family members who posess a strength that I myself cannot fathom. To reference, chronic mental illnesses are quite prominent in my family. I know that for most of my immediate family, every day is a fight, and yet they strengthen me daily. I know that the Lord has prepared a way for me to help them, and that is through the blessings they will receive as I do my best to serve Him as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
