Hi I'm Micah

I grew up in the desert heat of Las Vegas. I'm currently a long term student. I love pumpkin pie. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a college student. I didn't think I would take this long to finish school but I'm loving it. And I'm learning a ton along the way. I currently work on campus monitoring their servers and network to make sure things get fixed when they go down. I love my job. I love the outdoors. Mountains and trees and grass all make me happy. I enjoy all kinds of weather. I love playing racquetball. I'm still learning how to play better. I love lights and lots of lights. I love them so much I even decorate my truck with Christmas lights.

Why I am a Mormon

Gaining a testimony of Jesus Christ and God, our Father in Heaven, requires some type of action for almost everybody. We can know they are real beings and we can learn to live without fear and without darkness or obscurity because of our knowledge and understanding of them and their divine hand in our lives. We must search for the truth in all things. I think most of the help we receive, we don't ever see or think about and it is easy to think life is a game of luck and chance. But it's so much more than that. God knows what's going on and this is our chance to shine and to prove that we are worth something. God is the source of light and truth. He can brighten our life and can bring to life a once darkened soul. Jesus Christ is the way for us to replace darkness with light. He is the way to become clean and pure again. We all need that. We all need Him. Everyone can find Him. And everyone will have their life changed if they allow Christ to make changes in them. This church has helped me to see this and helped me to find joy in all that I do. I don't feel lost or alone. I know my Savior is always willing and ready to help me do better in life. And He truly blesses me every single day. I love this church and I know it is true and it will bring joy and life and brightness and happiness to anyone who finds it.

How I live my faith

I have learned to look for the goodness that resides in everyone. I love helping people and I love making people happy. This church gives me opportunities to help and serve beyond the normal opportunities that I would have in my city. I get chances to help others with many different things. Inside the church, everyone serves and helps without any pay. Most are asked to serve and do so willingly and happily because they can see the value in sharing talents and abilities with others. And in that service everyone is able to grow.
