Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in California. I am a daughter, a wife, and a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are still in the process of growing our family. We have one 19 month girl and another baby on the way. I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my family, music (both listening and playing), and doing various crafts. I have attended some college and plan to finish as soon as possible. My family and I have lived in 3 different states in the last 3 years. It has been rough, but it has allowed us to see different parts of out beautiful country that we otherwise would not likely have visited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the Spirit I feel every time I even think about the gospel. I am a Mormon because while I was investigating the church I felt reassured of everything the missionaries told me. I am a Mormon because I know the church it true. I was baptized in 2006, my senior year of high school. I remember the lesson that impacted me most was that which taught us "families can be together forever". I remember feeling the intense love of my Heavenly Father as the missionaries taught us the beliefs of the church, and that we will all return to live with our Father in Heaven and our families after we leave this world. It was then that I truly began to gain a testimony of this gospel. I continue to live His gospel because the more I learn about it, the more I love it. I live His gospel because I am truly happy. Yes, I get discouraged and frustrated at times, but whenever I stop to look at my life and all that I have I realize how truly blessed I am. I know that this church is true. I know that by the power of revelation and with the guidance of out Heavenly Father, the prophet Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us so much that since the restoration of the gospel He has continued to bless us with living prophets to guide and direct us. I know that so long as we do our best to live His gospel our lives will be fulfilled.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of the standards I believe in. In my local branch of the church I am a secretary to the leaders of our women's group. I attend meetings and keep notes of how we can better serve the sisters in out church. I also try and help fellowship any off the new members, or teenage girls who are graduating the youth program.
