Hi I'm Paxton

I was born in Utah. I served a mission in Santiago, Chile. I love my family, my friends, playing music, and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 5 and am the oldest of 3 boys. My favorite thing to do is play and write music on the guitar. I've also enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, football, and rugby. I returned from serving as a missionary in Santiago, Chile over 1 year ago. I am an Eagle Scout. I am currently studying biology at Brigham Young University Idaho. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. Growing up in the church I have been familiar with the church's teachings since I was young. I didn't always know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was God's true church on the earth today, so I decided to find out for myself. After faithfully reading the Book of Mormon and engaging in fervent prayer I gained a testimony that everything I had been taught throughout my life was true. This church has helped me find direction in my life and has taught me how to be the best person I can be by following Jesus Christ's example. I have felt my Savior's love, and I want others to feel His love also. I have seen this church change lives, as it did mine, always for the better. I decided to set aside 2 years of my life to serve a mission for the church. I was assigned to serve in Santiago, Chile and saw countless miracles as I was able to share the gospel with God's children. I've seen too many miracles and received too may answers to my prayers to ever deny that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church that Christ established during His' ministry on earth. Christ's church has been restored and I know that anyone who sincerely wants to know if it is true can do so by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it is truly of God. I promise you that it is. I know it, and you can, too.

How I live my faith

I've lived my faith through providing service to those in need. This past year I spent many early Saturday mornings serving breakfast to homeless women in Nashville. The loss of a few hours sleep didn't even matter compared to the thankfulness and the smiles on the faces of those women. I worked hard to provide service in order to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in The Boy Scouts of America. I'm naturally shy, but I do love to get to know the people around me and serve when others are in need.
