Hi I'm Dan

I am a Husband, Dad and business owner. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of 3 children and married to a beautiful wife. To be quite frank, there isn't much time for hobbies at this point in my life since their is never much of a spare moment between my family, my own business and my calling as a Bishop in the church. My family is my life. I am so grateful and blessed to have them.

Why I am a Mormon

When I married my wife, I was not a member of the church and she was. My wife had said to me before we ever got married that if we did ever get married one day, she would raise our kids in the church. I said that was fine because I did not actively attend any church myself. I figured that some religion was better than no religion. Once we were married, I started to attend church to understand how my future kids were going to be raised. I never had any intention of joing the church, but I just wanted to learn. One day in Sunday school I learned about the fall of Adam and Eve. I was always taught that we were here suffering on this Earth in a mortal body because of Adam and Eve. What I learned was that it is apart of God's plan for us to be on this earth with a mortal body. When I first heard that, I knew it was true. After two more years of going to church, I did finally join, not because my wife wanted me to, but because I knew the church was true. I had no idea what I was in for being baptized was the things in my life that changed everything. Life has been infinitely better since then and has turned about better than I could have ever imagined.

How I live my faith

I am 40 years old, I have been a Bishop for the last 2 years and joined the church 10 years ago. My wife and I live our lives by doing our best to follow the commandments. That has brought so much joy into our lives. It has strengthened our marriage, blessed us in our careers and has brought beautiful children into our home through the miracle of adoption. I often feel that I have been blessed much more than I deserve. When God's commandments are obeyed, there are blessings in store for us. The fact that we were able to adopt 2 of our children is a part of those blessings. I can go on and on about how blessed we are. The beautiful thing about being blessed by God is that we can all receive His blessings no matter what our past has been and no matter who we are.
