Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon, Volleyball Lover and Dream Chaser

About Me

I'm the average single lady trying to figure out what adventure to take on next while becoming the best me and hopefully helping others along the way. There is a big world to conquer and I'm doing all I can to see as much of it as possible. From Australia to Ireland, I love to travel, meeting different people and seeing other cultures. Give me a volleyball court and I'll be content for hours, having played all growing up and a couple years in college. I earned a degree in the medical field and enjoy being around people all day and seeing them get better. I love sports, games, friends, family, photography, nature, snow shoeing, and trying new things which most recently included taking up golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it makes my life better. I have tried to follow the Christ's teachings which I've learned and always the blessings promised and received outweigh the cost of obedience. I know I am a daughter of God and because of that He wants to bless me. He has a plan for my life which is far better than my own. This life is about change and I can change, become a better daughter, friend, sister and person because of His love. I'm a mormon because in so doing, I've found the most joy. The God I love is a positive, joyful, loving one and by following Him I find those same feelings in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been able to help in the community often as the group of young singles in our church goes out to serve. Cleaning gutters, washing windows, and setting up outdoor volleyball courts have all been recent ways which we've been able to give. I currently help in the church by organizing activities for the young adults in the area where I live. I also get to teach in a class that is for the single women in our area. It's so fun to get together with other girls my age and discuss God, trials we are going through and sharing our blessings. It's amazing to feel the love, support and friendship that comes from the women around you. I was given the opportunity to serve a full time mission in Spain for 18 months and it was incredible. It was an amazing experience to embrace a new place and people and share with them the blessings, faith, peace and hope I have found in living the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through that experience I tasted a small portion of real joy in this life.
