Hi I'm Sarah

I am a college student, a sister to nine siblings, and a missionary in the Belgium/Netherlands mission. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19-years old and I am serving as a missionary in Belgium/The Netherlands, speaking Dutch. Before my mission, I attended a university. When I return from my mission, I plan on studying Elementary Education. I come from a large, combined family. When I was 8 years old, my parents got divorced. My brother, sister, and I lived with my dad for less than a year, then my dad remarried a woman who had five children of her own. If you add my two half sisters, that makes ten children total. The adjustment wasn't easy. I was used to being the youngest child, so it was hard for me to be thrown into the mix of nine other kids. Ten years later, they are my best friends!! We have so much fun together, and they are my support system, my team, and my life. I enjoy reading, writing, playing tennis, listening to music, watching movies, spending time with my friends and family. I LOVE doing anything outdoors: hiking, camping, running, and just plain adventuring. I also love to travel, go for long drives, and take pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me to find the direction I seek in my life. Any unanswered questions, confused feelings, or sadness can be cured through learning of Jesus Christ. He is the answer to all of life's problems. Because He suffered and died for all the world, we can turn to Him, and He will be with us every step of the way so that we don't have to suffer or feel alone. The Church of Jesus Christ contains the fullness of Jesus Christ's true gospel when He was on the earth, and also the fullness of joy for eternity. We CAN live with our Heavenly Father again, and we CAN have our happily ever after!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying and teaching the Gospel daily. I try not to go one minute without remembering the Lord, Jesus Christ. Every Sunday back in the United States, I taught the four-year old class at church. I loved helping them learn about their Heavenly Father who loves them. It helped me grow closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ as I am able to teach His sweet children. Through their example of a perfect life, they taught me so much about obedience and love. Now, I share my testimony and knowledge with the people of Belgium/The Netherlands, and help them come unto Christ and come to know what I know. I am serving a mission because I believe in it. I know that Christ lives. I know that I have a loving, perfect Heavenly Father who knows each one of us individually, and loves us so much that He sent His Son to earth to live, suffer, and die for us so that we may return to Him. I want to share this message to others, and also the message of the Restoration, which is that the fullness of the the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored the earth. I love this church, and I love my Savior!!!
