Hi I'm Gabe Guerrero

I was born in the Philippines, grew up in New Zealand. I'm a Barista. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to edit videos, especially home videos. I'm a graduate of San Jose State University and just working full time to save money for my mission. I love to hike, be with friends and family, and just make people laugh through my videos. I play the piano, bass guitar, and drums. I've delayed my mission for 5 years, and it's always been in the back of my mind for that time span. I figured, I don't want to regret not going, so I've put my life on hold to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the message it teaches. The message Christ shares of loving everyone no matter who they are or what they believe in, He loved them regardless. It's something I try to live by and try to show others as an example. I've seen so many good things in my life because I lived as a Mormon. I hear a lot of stories about people being made fun of being one, but I haven't experienced it as bad as many have said. I guess, I try to show others that despite being a Mormon, I can still be a good friend that everyone respects regardless of my religious lifestyle.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best that I can. I refrain from swearing, drinking, smoking, etc because it's a choice that I want to make. Personally, I like to be in control of what I do and decide all of the time. Sure, I might not fit in some crowds sometimes, I don't judge others for their choices and so people respect me for the decisions I've made to not partake in those things. In the end we are all still children of God and I love everyone as my brother/sister. I'm currently a Sunday School teacher and I teaching the Book of Mormon. I've been involved with the youth activities at church to make it more fun for the youth while providing a good message.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Gabe Guerrero
The Word of Wisdom is a law given by God by Joseph Smith in 1833. It helps us refrain from partaking harmful substances into our body, so that we can keep our bodies healthy and strong. Not only does it talk about keeping away from stuff like tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea, but it also emphasizes the benefits of proper eating habits that can lead to physical and spiritual health. Personally, I like to be in control of my body and being in control of my decision making. Show more Show less
