Hi I'm Ryan

I was born and raised in the Tri-Cities in Washington state, I like to create computer animations, I'm a Missionary, I am Mormon.

About Me

I graduated high school at 17, I like to draw and create computer animations, I like to play airsoft/paintball. Right now I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If you are down in the Jacksonville Florida area and see two boys in suits riding down the street on bikes with name tags on, call them over! I can tell you the Church is true and that the missionaries would be happy to talk to you. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually raised in the church but have found for myself that it is true, I followed the invitation made by the prophet of God named Moroni at the end of the Book of Mormon and prayed in faith, with real intent and I had a witness through the Holy Ghost that it is true, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet today.

How I live my faith

I was born in this church but I have always tried to live my life like I should but I did go through a time where I wasn't living up to my standards. I would be spiritual in church and in seminary but anyone who knew me at the time outside of those things knew I was Mormon but didn't really see me be the best Mormon I could be. You don't really know how many people watch you as a Christian and especially when they think you aren't one. It took me till my Junior year in High School to really start thinking about my mission. I had always planned on going on one but it never really hit me till then. I had to grow my testimony from a small belief in Christ. It had to go from "yeah I believe in Christ" to "Yeah I believe in Him, He's my Savior and I want to tell you how He is your Savior too." Now am now on my mission for two years as an Elder(missionary) and teaching the Gospel of Christ. I follow all the commandments and try my best to be like Christ. I work and play sports and am social with a lot of people, member and non-member.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Ryan
My life as a Mormon is no different than how most people live, I play sports, I play games, I work. But The only different is I have different standards than others not of my faith. There are some commandments that God has given us that people have forgoten, dont know about, or choose to ignore. Some people follow them without realling knowing that they are commandments from their Heavenly Father. One example is not drinking Alchohol, or smoke tabacco or drink coffee, tea, or use illegal drugs. These are things that God told us not to use and are not for the body. This Word of Wisdom was given to us back in the 1800's and it now recently has been accepted by many that these are harmfull to the body. We choose to live in high moral standards and believe our bodies to be a temple of the spirit and that we should treat them as such. Also, families are super important to us. If you know Mormons, you may notice they have a large family. Now this may be like 3 children or even 10 children, but notice how the family acts together. Families make us happy and God want us to be happy, he wants his children to be happy, so he gave us these families. If we werent labled Mormon, you may just notice we are good people with good families. Other than a few beliefs and standards, there are very little differences between you and I. Are Mormons Christians?

Ryan
What is a Chistian? its in the name, CHRISTian. So someone who believes in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God is by definition is a Christian. Do Mormons believe in Christ? Yes. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or Mormons for short I guess. We have the name of Jesus Christ in the name of the Church, this is Christ's church. It is not Joseph Smith's Church, it is not Thomas S. Monsons Church. It is Christ's Church and will be forever and ever. I will tell you that I am a member of this church, yes even a Mormon as some may call me, I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, my Savior and Redeemer. And I know that all of the Mormons I know have a simular testimony. Show more Show less
