Hi I'm Katherine

I am a soon to be wife and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a recently returned missionary from the Nebraska Omaha Spanish Mission! I'm in love with my best friend! I have bad days and good days but no matter what I know there is a Savior - Jesus Christ - who loves us all so much and has made it possible for us to cope and persevere until the end. I love cooking, biking, life, and food. I believe we are all loved so much by a loving Heavenly Father!

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion started as a student in junior high school. My family had just moved to Utah from Colorado and I had a hard time as a twelve year old finding happiness with the new life that I faced. My heart wasn't soft towards the gospel but I knew that there was a great Being up in Heaven watching over me. Once a freshman I began taking Seminary where I was rescued by my Seminary teacher who softened my heart and showed me that this Great Being was actually my Heavenly Father who loves me and cares so much about each one of His children. Since then, I've known that being a Mormon had been the greatest thing that I've ever become. I know, without a doubt, that this gospel is true! Christ does live and we will see Him again someday. I know that there is a plan of Happiness. I know that our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy in this life, and I am so grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I believe in the power of service. To me, that is the great calling in this world. Giving service at the earliest inconvenience is important and necessary to be happy in this life. We are all children of God and we all have the power and the responsibility to help each other through our trials. I also believe in the power of The Book of Mormon. By reading this book everyday, gradually your happiness will increase and your life will be enhanced. I've read this book every day for many years and it has blessed me in ways I would have never imagined.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Katherine
The life of Christ was all about serving others, no matter who they were. As Christians, Mormons seek to serve as the Savior did. We are all God's children regardless of where we live or what culture we belong to. We believe that helping others benefits everyone. Mormons help all and seek to help all. This is shown through the Mormon Church's immediate help after natural disasters, humanitarian aid, and more. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Katherine
Faith is an action word. By sitting around what good will come from that? Faith is developed as our actions increase such as reading the Book of Mormon, praying to know if something is true, bearing our own testimonies, serving others as Christ would, attending church, listening to good music, leaving bad situations, getting rid of the bad in our lives, and so much more. If we must walk by faith through this life then we need to do all we can to get it strong and clear. It will be easier to see and easier to know where to go. Show more Show less
