Hi I'm Riley

I love traveling. I love all kinds of music. I'm going to be serving my mission in Cusco Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Dallas High School in 2012. I like to longboard, bike, hike and surf when I get the chance. I've been to more than half of the United States. I love to read, mostly fantasy books. I love all kinds of music, but mainly reggae, Spanish music (salsa, flamenco, merengue), hip-hop, bluegrass, and new age. I love acting and was in a few plays in high school. I also enjoy learning new languages and about other cultures. My dad is a high school Spanish teacher and my mom is a receptionist at one of the local elementary schools. I love them both very much. I also have two younger sisters and a younger brother whom I also love very much. I love spending time with people, especially my family and relatives. I also love trying new things and seeing new places. Even though I'm pretty easy-going I have a very adventurous spirit. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church to faithful parents and I am so thankful I was. Throughout my life I've been able to gain a strong testimony of the gospel and it's standards. By being a member of the Church I've been able to have awesome experiences that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Because of the gospel I know where I come from, why I'm here and where I'm going. My life has a purpose and that is to progress, be happy, eventually have a family of my own and to share this joy with everyone else.

How I live my faith

First of all, I will be serving a full-time mission for two years in South East Peru. I attend church every Sunday. I am currently a ward missionary so I do missionary work in my community and once a month I teach two different classes at church - one for those who are either new to or learning about the church, and the other is a class for men in the Church. I love the Gospel and want to share it with everyone.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?
