Hi I'm Lawson

I grew up in Utah. I absolutely love sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a normal guy that loves being outdoors, meeting new people, playing sports any chance I get, and fully participating in my faith. I was born and raised in a large family of 11 kids. I was child number eight, as well as the seventh son. So yes, it was a very large family!! I grew up with a strong love for the outdoors as well as sports. I am currently a student studying Healthcare Administration. I am engaged and try to balance life, school, work, and time with my future wife. I find an interest in poetry and will write my thoughts through less then average poetry from time to time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the principles and truths taught in the church have changed my life because I know they are true, and because there is no other way we can come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. Growing up I was an angry kid. I would get upset over anything. By my teenage years I didn't completely believed what my parents had taught me my whole life. I questioned whether or not God really existed and didn't have an answer. When I was 16 years old I received an answer to my prayer from God that told me, "If I was willing to follow him I would know him." From that time forward I decided to make some changes in my life and made a real effort to get to know him. Since I have focused on God in my life I have been filled with peace. I no longer get angry and upset. My prayers are constantly answered and I can feel God listening. I am a Mormon because it is through the gospel taught and lived through the "Mormon" faith that we can return back and live with God again as well as have peace in this life even when it gets to where we can't take it anymore. Jesus Christ will be there to lift us up and it is in this church that we are able to receive the fullness of his blessings. Ultimately, I am a Mormon because being a Mormon has saved my life.

How I live my faith

Like all members of the church that hold the Priesthood, or power of God, I am responsible for visiting and checking up on certain members of the congregation in which I attend. This truly is an amazing opportunity. I have formed friendships that can last a life-time, or even longer, because of that assignment. Currently I also spend time teaching some members of our ward how to use the online resources available to all the members of our church. Not only does the church teach us principles that can change our lives during our weekly meetings but they also provide us with tons of material we can study at other times and share with others to help them become better as well.
