Hi I'm Myles Hart

I am a Utah State Aggie. A son. Music lover, who loves to be active; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of the eleven children I grew up with, that my grandparents raised. I will be serving a mission in the New York New York South Mission from 2012-2014. I have been immensely blessed to have been raised by such caring and wonderful people. Growing up in my circumstances you learned quickly that life wasn't fair and wasn't going to be easy. Through great friends and people, I learned that everything we go through can be overcome through Jesus Christ. Thanks to my grandparents love and instilling in me a want to be better; I found peace as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

In my freshmen year of high school, was the first time I ever really noticed the impact religion has on our lives. I think it was because before that time our values were never tested that much every day. Your success in life from this point forward was dictated by decisions that you made. I had registered myself for classes my freshman year of high school and saw a class that I had never heard of, and I figured it would be worth looking into. This class was called seminary. I had no idea that this was a course in which high school LDS members could grow and learn more in the faith which they were associated with. In my first class we talked about missionary work, and the MTC. Which at that time I thought stood for Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and i thought it was very strange that you needed to be a proficient singer before you went out in to the world to evangelize. I later found out that MTC in fact stood for Missionary Training Center. Over the course of my secondary education, I was invited to several church activities through good friends of mine and while I enjoyed many of these activities; I decided the church was not for me. My freshman year of college came and went. I had lived in a dorm where I was the only roommate that was not a member. One roommate was a very enthusiastic member and loved to try and share his experiences within the church with anyone and everyone. This annoyed me for some reason and pushed me further away from the church. It was not until the summer after that academic year, when a series of bad and discouraging events came to a climax in my life that I talked to a good friend, who always just had a happiness about him that I wanted and peace that I envied that I was finally willing to let go of my pride and remove the blind fold of deception and ignorance from my eyes. I read the Book of Mormon. I prayed about it, received an answer and did what only made sense then I talked with the missionaries and was baptized. I am so happy I did!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what i know my Father in Heaven would want me to do. I can Know just what it is that He wants for me by being active in my scripture study in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Another way is simply being an active member in the church performing my callings to the best of my abilities. Teaching monthly lessons to those I have stewardship over. Most of all I try to be a loving and caring example to all those I come in contact with; sharing my testimony with anyone who is willing to listen.
