Hi I'm LaMont

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I went on an LDS Mission to Paraguay. I live in Utah and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a technologist by trade. After College I worked for two different technology companies for 20 years. After 20 years I decided that I would be further ahead to start my own businesses. I have been doing that for several years now. I'm not rich but I do make enough to support my family and lead a very happy life with my wife and kids. I try to put them first in my life so they can succeed and they know that their dad is there for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Faith. My family has been in the LDS or Mormon faith since the 1800's. I have so many stories from my ancestors. Ultimately I had to arrive on my own as a teenage of the truthfulness of the gospel. The spiritual confirmation came several time. Reading the Book of Mormon as a small boy and then again several times when I was a teenager made me really understand that God loves his people regardless of where they are or more importantly what continent they are on.

How I live my faith

I'm most happy when I am serving others. Life has more meaning when I spend time helping others learn and grow. I have had several assignments were I have helped leading and teaching music, being a scoutmaster, participating and helping with church youth groups. I love being involved in my community. It allows me to reach out and meet those around me. I'm sometimes asked what my hobbies are. My life is so full of activities with my wife and kids that they have become my coolest hobby. Golf and old car restoration from my youth interests have taken a back seat to raising and teaching a family.
