Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a student, I'm a friend, I'm a daughter. I know who I am, I know God's plan, I'll follow him in faith.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho, studying Family Consumer Science Education. I want to teach and work with others for the rest of my life. Growing up in a small town enabled me to become active in my community and get to know those around me. I love to do anything outdoors hiking, campfires, swimming, rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, camping, you name it! If I could describe myself in one word it would be average. haha I'm not exceedingly great at any one thing but in a way that's a blessing because I am always up for trying something new. I am very carefree and easy going. I believe that if you have the power to improve your situation, you should do it! If you can't, embrace what you have and be thankful for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but to say that my faith and conversion always existed would not necessarily be true. Throughout the years I have had my share of trials and doubts, but there was always a beacon of light that shown through all of that. And that is the knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me, along with all of his other children. When I gained a testimony of this simple principle the rest fell into place. Because I know that he loves me, I know that he was willing to send his son Jesus Christ to the earth to die for each of us. Because he loves me he has given me my agency and the opportunity for me to prove of my love for him by obedience to his commandments. Because he loves me he blesses me as I strive to learn more about him and my Savior Jesus Christ. And Because he loves me, he has given me a loving family, a healthy body, and has surrounded me with diverse people who have molded and taught me to be the person that I am. I love being a member of this church! Living by its teachings has never been binding, it has only granted me happiness, meaning in my life, and a desire to share it with others.

How I live my faith

As a member of the LDS church I have had the opportunity to serve in many different callings and leadership positions. This past year I was assigned to teach the women once a month. This has been my favorite calling because I quickly came to the realization that by teaching others, you learn much more yourself. This love I have gained from teaching along with many other experiences has lead me to the decision of serving a mission.
