Hi I'm Mandee

I love being in nature. I delight in my role as a wife and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of three. I have 2 boys and a new baby daughter. I enjoying spending time with my husband and children. I have such a tender spot in my heart for my family. Family life has been the hardest thing I've done, and yet the most rewarding. Nothing compares to the love shared within your own home. I don't really have alot of time for hobbies, I try to give all my attention and time to my family at this time. I do love going walking, and being outdoors when I can. I have always felt such a peace and great happiness in being in the mountians. My days are filled with changing diapers, laundry and dishes. But at the end of everyday I am honored and feel so blessed to be able to give my all for the ones I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon, but I haven't understood what this means to me until recently. As a child we had periods in our life where we were active, and there were times of trails and less activity in the church. It wasent tell I was married that I really had a desire to really be converted in my heart to this great religion. The gospel is everything to me now. I live the way I do now because of the peace I feel in my life. I have always struggled with my worth. But when I live the gospel and am engaged in it, I truly feel loved by my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. I feel I have purpose.I can feel the hand of the Lord in my life, and I know he sends blessings my way. It had always been my desire to be a wife and mother. A year after being married me and my husband decided to start our family. I poured out my hearts desire to have children, but I had to remember the Lords time is different them mine. He sees the big picture and knows the right timing. After a couple years with no success we decide to start the adoption process. We did the interviews, paid fees and did the mountians of paperwork. It took about six months to get everything done to be able to adopt. We had two opportunitys to pursue adoption that first two weeks, but it didn't feel right. I stuggled and didn't understand. At the end of the two weeks a miracle came.I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 7 months later. He was born in december, truly the best present ever. We have since had two more beautiful children. We love their sticky kisses, and sweet laughter. Our lives are so blessed because of these three children. My three little monkeys are all 21 months apart, so life is busy. We have also moved alot and other challenges have come our way, but we have each other so life is good. This gospel is true, Jesus Christ leads it.He love us and desires to bless us.Familes can be together forever through the ordinances in the temple. We can have true joy, if we know where to find it.

How I live my faith

I have served in lots of different areas in the church. I have worked with young children, and then later with young women. I am currently serving as a compassionate service leader. I have the opportunity to help with funerals, new babies, and people in the ward who may be sick or have other needs. I love and look forward to church every Sunday, and enjoy General Confrence twice a year. We are a family that prays and reads the scriptures daily. Everyday I try to listen to the latest confrence messages. I believe the Lord speaks through a prophet and apostles. I enjoy hearing their words, and feeling uplifted and guided. We try hard to go to the temple often. We love to take our children to the temple grounds and enjoy the beauty. The temple is important to our family.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The Mormon temples are all about families. We believe that through the priesthood we can be sealed together forever. We believe you must be worthy to enter the temple, following the requirements the church teaches. We believe you need to be prepared and ready to enter the temple. Its like if you want to go scuba diving or run in a race, there are requirements and qualifications you need to meet before you can actually participate. The church desires all worthy individuals to be apart of the temple. It can bring us a fullness of joy. The Lord wants to bless his children and the temple is a way of showing his love for us.
