Hi I'm Michael Allen

I love guitar and singing, I want to explore everywhere, I am on a mission in the Scotland Ireland Mission and Im a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Scotland/Ireland Mission and am loving it. The people here are truly great. I learn something new everyday and have grown so much since I have been on my mission. Some days are harder than others. The days when I ask God in heaven to help me through these hard days he never fails! My life has been so blessed by the gospel and the knowledge I have been given. I feel honoured to be able to serve a mission and to teach others about what I know about the gospel and how it can bless their lives!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church. I have found out for myself by reading the Book of Mormon cover to cover, Praying to God in the name of the Son, attending church, and deeply pondering the knowledge I have received. By doing these things I have come to know that this church is true and can bless everyone. It is a way to be with our families for time and all eternity, a thing which I deeply desire. God has blessed me throughout my life in countless ways, many ways I do not realize and may never realize in my time in this life. I know prayer is a blessing for everyone. It is a way for us to communicate with our Father in Heaven. I know Jesus Christ atoned for our sins so that we may be able to overcome our sins so that we may be able to live with our Father once more! When ever I get down I like to think about the atonement and what Jesus went through for us. When I think about this I often compare my own challenges to his amazing sacrifice and there is no comparison. My challenges are minuscule compared to Jesus taking the worlds sins upon his back! I know that God loves all his children and is willing to give us all the chance to be with him again. No matter where you are in your life God can help you, even when people won't. This is why I am a Mormon. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be who God wants me to be. At times I wonder what I am even doing and lose my direction in life. That is when I call upon God to help me find my way once again. Prayer is a powerful part of my life. I know when I kneel down in humble prayer that my Father in heaven is listening to what I have to say. I know that he answers my prayers no matter what. They might not always be the answers I want or in the way that I expect them, but they are there. God answers everyone's prayers. I also live my faith by serving my mission. My mission is teaching me dedication. My mission is teaching me to put others before myself. My mission has been the hardest thing in my life so far, but also my greatest blessing. I have learned to not take my family for granted. I have learned that I must put away the natural man and to align my will with my Heavenly Father's. This is how I live my faith in my life.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Michael Allen
Ultimately it was the Prophets of olden times, from before Christ came, and even after Christ came. there were many Prophets who added to the book over time, like Lehi, Nephi, Alma, and Ether to name a few. However the Book of Mormon was translated into english by the power of God through Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith is the first Prophet in the restoration of the Gospel. He helped God restore the Gospel and the Priesthood back unto this earth. The Book of Mormon concludes with a great promise that those who read it and sincerely pray about it can know by the Holy Ghost that it is true (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less
