Hi I'm Patti Harker

I live in Alberta, Canada. I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, retired Pharmacist, runner and triathlete. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 7 and a grandmother of 22, including 3 sets of adorable twins! My family has been and continues to be a source of great joy to me. I enjoy reading, music, knitting, and many types of physical activity. I love the excitement of running races and triathlons. The training keeps me motivated to keep moving. I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis, so activity is important. I am a retired Pharmacist. My husband and I are currently preparing to serve a full-time mission in the Denver Colorado North mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Lord Jesus Christ. I have a deep appreciation for His atoning sacrifice for each one of us. I want to follow Him. I want to be like Him. I am so grateful to know that His Church as been restored to the earth in these latter days in its fullness, with the proper Priesthood authority. I know the Lord continues to speak through His prophets today, and we have a living prophet on the earth. I love my family and want to be with them forever. The temple ordinances provide a way for all of us to be sealed together eternally as families. This knowledge gives me peace. It brings me joy to know that after all I can do, the Savior will take my hand and lead me safely home.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the Church including leading the children's organization, working with the youth and young adults, and leading the women's organization. I served a full-time mission in Italy and loved sharing the Gospel with the Italian people in their beautiful country. I currently play the organ for our Sunday Sacrament Meeting and also teach an adult Sunday School class. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the Lord full-time and hope to bless the lives of many people in beautiful Colorado!
