Hi I'm Alyssa

I'm from Vancouver, Washington. I go to BYU. I love to be active, I especially love to swim and CrossFit. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a student, I am studying Manufacturing Engineering and I love it. I am the oldest in my family. Growing up I was really involved with swimming. I was on a club swim team as well as my high school swim team. After swimming I tried out CrossFit and loved it! I still continue to swim for fun and I'll be CrossFitting for the rest of my life. I love to travel. My most recent adventure was to Singapore for a study abroad and it was an AMAZING experience! I love spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for my whole life. I learn more about the gospel of Jesus everyday and I strive to live it. I have a testimony of this church and I know it to be true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that He suffered and died for my sins that I may live with Him and my Father in Heaven again. I know that Christ will come again. I know that we have Prophets on the earth today to give us modern day revelation. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's Prophet today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ in addition to other standard works. I know that my Father in Heaven and Savior know my name and love me. I know that I am not going through this life alone and that they are always there to guide me through.

How I live my faith

I live and love my faith everyday. I currently serve in my ward as a family home evening group leader. I help to plan activities for my home evening group in my student ward. I participate in service projects and try to reach out to others as much as I can. I am a visiting teacher which means I visit and become close friends with a few girls in my ward and help them with whatever they need. I have opportunities to make great friends everyday and help them to realize their role as a son or daughter of God.
