Hi I'm Alex

I live in Maine and I build traditional wooden boats. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 24 years old I am married to my beautiful wife of almost three years and we have a nine month old son named James. We are living in Maine while I attend School for traditional wooden boat-building and marine systems. I hope to one day own my own boatyard and build and restore traditional wooden sailboats.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church and I am the youngest of ten children. I have seen in my own life and in the lives of my siblings how the doctrines and teachings of the church have helped us to overcome personal challenges. The gospel of Jesus Christ has given me such a happy way to live my life where I can build meaningful relationships with family and friends as well as serve others. I have gained my own testimony of the truth of the restored gospel through reading the scriptures and praying for my own answer. I received that answer, and I continue to see the truth reaffirmed to me as I put in practice the things that I have been taught. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is the way to happiness.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as assistant ward clerk which means I keep track of membership and other records. I try to volunteer as much as possible and I focus on leading my small family in prayer and scripture study. I enjoy the opportunity that I have to help other members of the church through home teaching. I also enjoy answering questions that friends and acquaintances may have about my faith.
