Hi I'm Tricia Montez

I grew up in California. I'm a Registered Dental Hygienist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate from a dental hygiene program, seeking employment in my field. I enjoy exploring, camping, hiking, singing, and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of how it blesses my life, the kind of person it teaches me to be and because I know that is is God's true church restored to the earth for these last days to bless us. Also, I need God in my life and value my relationship with him. Doing those things that keep me active, help keep me close to Him. There are many challenges and difficulties in life. Everyone is affected by trials and difficulties. Although there is a purpose for challenges and hardships, no one is meant to overcome and deal with them on their own. When I became a Mormon, I covenanted to serve God, to keep his commandments and to help bare others burdens. Doing my best to fulfill these covenants is a wonderful blessing to my life and others lives. It is a blessing to me as others do their best to fulfill their covenants because of their love of God and help bare my burdens as well. My faith in Christ, gained through my beliefs from being a Mormon, have given me much needed support throughout my life. Sometimes when I'm down, I know that I can be strengthened and uplifted through prayer, immersing myself in the good word of God, and serving another. I struggle to always do what I know to be right, but I know that God has made a way, the atonement of Christ, to make right all that is not. I know that I lived with God before I came to this earth, that he is the literal father of my spirit, that I am his daughter and that He loves me and has a plan for me so that I might return to live with him someday, triumphant over the challenges and struggles of this life. I am a Mormon because it is a blessing, a support and makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I like to find different opportunities to volunteer in the community around me. I have enjoyed serving in a kitchen in a recovery facility, doing community clean-up activities and am excited to start volunteering on a regular basis in a community clinic as a dental hygienist. I want to use the talents and abilities I have to make a difference for good in the lives of those around me. I also currently serve as a choir director for my church ward congregation.
