Hi I'm Madeline

I am a musician, student, daughter and wife. I go to school, work and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 and have been married for six months. My husband is my best friend. We are both going to school and working and will soon be starting our family. I play the harp and piano and teach piano lessons for part of my work. I grew up in a family of six children, and we all play different instruments. I love being with my family, going to school, watching movies, and running and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is a lifestyle. I didn't join just to say that I am part of a church. The teachings of the church are truth that help me live the best life now and after death. There is an incredible comfort in knowing that someone greater than me is in charge. If I turn to God in the details of my life, big or small, I don't have any doubt that God will make more of my life than I could myself. God didn't send us down on this Earth alone. He gave us tools to keep in touch with Him. The scriptures, prayer, attending church and activities keep us close to the Lord's spirit. As I do these things and try every day to have a better relationship with God, I become a better person. I realize that there is more to existence than most of us realize. We have the potential to live after this life with God Himself, with our families, and become so much more than we could ever imagine. I live this gospel and trust my God because I want to be with Him and with my family forever. I live it because it changes what I do and how I think every single day. Through scripture study, prayer, having the goal to get to the temple, and doing what I know is right I know that this is the church that has all the answers. It is truth, it makes sense. Why? Because it's not our church, it's God's church.

How I live my faith

I am in a time of my life where I move a lot, so It has been hard to get settled into a church community as much as I would like. But in all the different wards I have been a part of I have always loved to be involved. I have taught gospel principles to new converts or people investigating the church. I have been the choir pianist. My husband and I had the opportunity to teach a group of 7 and 8 year old children about the gospel. I learn so much from every calling I have in the church and each makes me grow in so many different ways.
