Hi I'm Malia

I'm the youngest of 4 children. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love serving Him and my Heavenly Father. He Lives!

About Me

I just finished a year of college and am preparing to serve in São Paulo, Brazil as a missionary for 18 months. When I get home, I plan to finish my degree in Music Education and foreign language studies. I love to sing, act, dance and have fun with friends. I am a fan girl. I love various books, movies and TV shows. I love to play with my nieces and nephews. I also have a boyfriend that I plan to marry when I get home. The next two years are going to be the most challenging but fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving LDS family. I was raised in the church and was baptized at 8 years of age. As I got older, I started to contemplate why I was baptized. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true; even though I had a testimony since I was a child. The Spirit testified to me that the Book of Mormon was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I felt the peace the Spirit brought me and I KNEW the gospel was true. As I live by faith, I know Christ will strengthen me when I need it. Living the gospel brings me joy and I know that families are forever.

How I live my faith

I go to church and partake of the sacrament each Sunday in remembrance of my Savior. I teach the women in my congregation on various topics focusing on Christ. I stand for what I believe in throughout the world and strive to reflect Christ in my words and deeds. I teach my friends and strangers about my faith and love them as much as I can. I strive to keep my Father's commandments and go to the temple to remember my covenants and do work for the dead.
